Weatherization Mission Statement
This program provides repairs and measures designed to assist low-income and senior homeowners in reducing home energy costs by eliminating air infiltration. Measures to address health and safety issues are also completed.
Services are available in Alachua, Marion, and Levy counties.

What We Do!!
- Install CO and smoke detectors
- Install ventilation
- Insulate the water heater and water lines
- Low-flow shower heads and faucet aerators
- Install insulation
- Install solar screens
- Seal and/or insulate ducts
- Install water heaters (only if the audit recommends)
- Replace incandescent bulbs with Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) or LED)
- Address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking, thresholds, minor repairs to walls, floors, and ceilings, and window and door repair or replacement
- Replace inefficient refrigerators (only if the audit recommends)
- Replace inefficient heating and cooling units (only if audit recommends)
When Funding Permits, We Can Also:
- Installation of grab bars at the back and sides of the shower, tub, and toilets
- Raised toilet seats
- Limited mobility ramps
- Task lighting under counters
- Removing the tub and installing showers with seats and
- Any additional modifications that aid in protecting the health and safety of the client
- Roofs
